"Life Is Too Beautiful" is the second episode of the 4th season of 7th Heaven. On its original airing, this episode scored 8.32 million viewers.

Synopsis[]

Eric develops a child-like fascination with life when he takes a much-needed vacation after his heart attack. Simon assumes the role of the 'man of the house', but feels Matt is undermining his authority when he keeps making fun of him. Matt grows uncomfortable with the blossoming friendship between his girlfriend Shana and his roommate John Hamilton while he's busy with other issues. Lucy finds a direction in her life with her interest in Habitat for Humanity after taking Matt's advice. Annie helps Mary math homework, but that results in complete disaster.

Notes[]

  • Maureen Flannigan, who plays Shana, has been appearing as a recurring cast member during the 4th season and now appears in the opening credits of the show.

Trivia[]

  • No preview scenes were shown for the premiere of this episode the week before it aired (9/20/99).

Goofs & Errors[]

  • The camera shows Simon picking up the books he dropped on the floor. One of the top books says "Biology" on the front white part. The camera then shows the boy who helped pick them up, then goes back to Simon. You can't see any book with "Biology" on it and the order of the books totally changed.
  • Ruthie is coloring a picture in her "Hello Kitty" coloring book. The scene cuts to sections of the picture being completed, then back to Ruthie still coloring it.
  • In the kitchen at the beginning of the episode, Annie and Matt are talking while Matt is carrying the twins. The one on his right shoulder is asleep, but then wakes up when they do a closeup. However, when they go back to the other view, that twin is asleep again.
