Eric and Annie are excited to be featured in their local newspaper, but the reporter's interviews with their children reveal more than they expected. Meanwhile, a co-worker spreads rumors about Matt at work, and John confronts a politician for misquoting an African American inspirational leader. Ruthie's classmate plagiarizes one of her stories for a school competition. Sandi Patty guest-stars in a cameo role.


  • At the end of this episode, Sandy Patty, a famous gospel singer, appears and performs the song "I'll Fly Away" at the end of the service at Eric's church.
