"Halloween" was the sixth episode of the 1st season of 7th Heaven.
Synopsis[]
With Halloween just around the corner, Lucy attempts to learn the truth about "The Mutant" Mike--- a mysterious recluse who's been accused of murder. Meanwhile, Simon prepares for the 'Annual Pumpkin Carving Contest' at the church and badly wants to be in first place. Also, Mary schemes to have the house all to herself when tricking all of her friends and family at where she is going to be. While the family prepares for the church's Annual Halloween Carnival, chaired by Annie, Eric has a bad attitude towards the whole holiday and discovers the real reason behind his hatred of Halloween when remembering a dramatic experience he had as an 11-year-old boy.
Trivia[]
- Catherine Hicks has been quoted in interviews that this was her favorite episode.
- This is the only Halloween episode that 7th Heaven has ever had.
- Richard Moll, who plays Mike "The Mutant", was perhaps best known for playing Bailiff Bull Shannon on the original "Night Court" from 1984 to 1992.
Goofs & Errors[]
- Near the beginning of the episode, when Matt, Mary and Simon are in the bathroom, after Matt says he's been using Mary's deodorant, he puts some on. If you look closely, when he puts some on his right armpit, he doesn't actually put it on. The same goes for Simon, who appears to be putting the deodorant on, but you can tell that it's not even making contact with his armpit.
