Synopsis[]

The Camden's are expecting a financial windfall from Eric's annual raise at work, but when the church board gets the wrong impression about their financial situation, they reject his raise. Ruthie steps in to save the day, realizing what is going on and convincing them to change their minds. Mary starts to feel left out when Annie and Lucy start bonding and exclude her when adding a new bathroom. Meanwhile, a young hospital patient offers Matt some career advice and Simon attempts to entertain a classmate who has a crush on him.

Notes[]

  • Josh Ryan Evans guest stars in this episode as Adam. He is also known for his role on the NBC hit soap opera, Passions, and for playing the young version of Mr. Grinch in the Jim Carrey & Ron Howard film, Dr. Suess's How the Grinch Stole Christmas. He passed away on August 5, 2002 from complications from a medical procedure.

Trivia[]

  • This is the first time we see Matt at his job, despite having it for four episodes.
  • Maureen Flannigan (Shana) does not appear in this episode.

Goofs & Errors[]

  • In the second to last scene in this episode, Annie and Simon come downstairs and Simon hands David to Mary, he is wearing a blue outfit. Annie is carrying Sam, he is wearing a green outfit, and they go outside. In the next scene when they come outside, Mary is carrying Sam in the green outfit and Annie is carrying David in the blue outfit. On the way out of the house they could have switched babies, but that would be pointless and it's more likely a episode error.
  • When Eric and Annie are talking about the raise in their room, it appears as though Sam falls asleep in Eric's arms when the camera focuses on him individually, but when the shot changes to include both Eric and Annie, Sam is clearly awake.
