"All By Myself" is the twelfth episode of the 4th season of 7th Heaven. On its original airing, this episode scored 6.91 million viewers.

Synopsis[]

Annie decides to take a much-needed break from the family and heads to the beach on a solo trip to get some rest, leaving Eric (Mr. Mom) in charge of the large household. Meanwhile, Matt must reluctantly say goodbye to Shana as she leaves for NYU. Mary impatiently waits for Robbie to call her. Also, Lucy realizes that she may be interested in the wrong guy, and Simon learns some tips from his sisters on how to treat a girl.

Notes[]

  • The episode was originally scheduled to air on January 17, 2000, but The WB pushed it back a week to January 24, 2000 for unknown reasons.

Trivia[]

  • This episode marks the first episode in 7th Heaven set in the 2000s, a new millennium.
  • There was a movie in 1983 with a similar premise as this episode, called Mr. Mom. It was executive produced by Aaron Spelling, and starred Michael Keaton and Teri Garr. In the movie, an unemployed husband is left at home with his kids while his wife goes out to work. In the Camdens' case, Annie just went away on vacation, not to work.

Goofs & Errors[]

  • After Annie leaves for her vacation, Eric answers the phone and says "Ruthie did what?" In such a short amount of time, he wouldn't have heard about what happened or who did it.
  • Lucy and Mary are sitting in their bedroom, waiting for their boyfriends to call when the phone rings. Mary grabs it and it's Annie. She says to tell Eric that she reached the motel and that she'll call back to talk to him later. Ruthie walks in and asks if it was Annie. Lucy says "Yes, it was," followed by what Annie had said verbatim even though she couldn't have possibly heard the conversation herself since Ruthie walked in immediately after the call ended.
